Outdoor Crafts: Winter Branch Mobile

Shhh... Now is our chance. The littlest kids are asleep for morning naps and Isaiah and I can work on something fun together. Today we chose this branch project.

I gathered what we would need from the house- some twine, beads, and scissors.

I sent my little guy out to find some big branches.

Well, that was easy.
Next I had him string some beads on the twine, and I cut the twine in varying lengths.

 (I helped with this part)

And then I tied the strings to the branches.

We hung it on the wall, and there you have it.
You can spend a little time or a lot of time on this project.
I think it took us about 20 minutes from start to finish.

Or, more appropriately, from start to 'blogged.'

  1. That is a terrific idea for fine motors! Thanks for sharing Jess! I may just need to send my little one out to find some big branches like her cousin! ;-) Loving your ideas!

  2. I LOVE your stick mobile!!!! What a sweet idea.
